TRAINING PROGRAMS

Dan offers three programs: Obedience Training, Puppy Preschool, and single lesson Behaviour Modification. Obedience Training and Behaviour Modification are done as private lessons in the comfort of a client’s home. Also, you may wish to consider the convenient drop-off service. Have your dog trained when he is boarded!

Obedience Training can typically be completed in five lessons, at the pace of one lesson per week. The commands taught during the obedience program include: heel, automatic sit, sit-stay, down, bed, and recall (come). Do you have two dogs you want to be trained? Dan offers the most competitive two-dog pricing around.

Puppy Preschool is a two-class education seminar for owners as well as socialization for puppies. This is only for puppies aged six weeks to six months. New dog owners would benefit the most from this class. This is a class setting, which provides a greater level of socialization for the pups.

COST

Training: All fees listed below are for one dog. Having two dogs is an additional $5 a lesson. A small fuel charge of 5 dollars applies everywhere in HRM.

Single Lesson $50

Set of 5 Lessons $240

(Heel, automatic sit, sit-stay, down, bed, and come. A sixth lesson may be necessary depending on how quickly the dog is learning the commands off-lead)

Drop off service $300/week

(Dog is dropped off and fully trained for owner. Training consists of all the commands taught off lead. The first and last lessons are done with the owner. The training is done over a 2-3 week period.)

Boarding $22/day

(Boarding is at my in-home facility that is run similarly to a doggy daycare, with more interaction and a lower stress environment compared to most other kennels.)

Doggy Daycare $20/day or $12/half-day

(If you live in the St. Margaret's Bay area and would like to have your dog in doggy daycare, this is the place. Also specializing in dogs that need work with Aggression issues who may have been refused on those grounds from other Doggy Daycares.)

Nail Clipping $5

Dog Bathing: $15-35(Depending on size/breed)
