TRAINING PROGRAMS

Dan offers three programs: Obedience Training, Residency Training, and single lesson Behaviour Modification.  Obedience Training and Behaviour Modification are done as private lessons in the comfort of a client's home.  Also, you may wish to consider the convenient Residency Training.  Have your dog trained when he is boarded!

Obedience Training can typically be completed in five lessons, at the pace of one lesson every week or two.  The commands taught during the obedience program include: heel, automatic sit, sit-stay, down, bed, and recall (come).  Do you have two dogs you want to be trained?  Dan offers some of the most competitive two-dog pricing around.

Behaviour Modification includes anything from an intro puppy class to working with severe aggression problems.  Almost every dog has a behavioural problem or two, whether it joined your family as a puppy or as an older dog.  Most issues can be resolved in one to three lessons.  In some cases, obedience training is necessary in addition to counter-conditioning.  If you have a puppy, learning the proper ways of establishing a structured pack-unit from the start prevents most behavioural issues from occurring.

Residency Training is offered for people who would like to board their dog and have it worked with, either on behavioural issues or obedience training.  It is nice to go away, and when you return, your dog is better behaved.  Daily or weekly rates available.

"Daycare is a hoot!"

A single lesson could be Behavioural modification, puppy info classes (one is all you'll need until you start obedience!), or small obedience issues. The class runs from an hour to an hour and a half.

Obedience covers: Heel, automatic sit, sit-stay, down, bed, and come.  Normal pace is 5 lessons.  A sixth lesson may be necessary depending on how quickly the dog is learning the commands off-lead.

Residency Training: Board your dog and have general obedience or specific behavioural issues worked on.  It is not suggested for first time dog owners, since training the owners is more work than training the dog!

Boarding and Daycare: Going away for a night, a week, or just the day, consider boarding your dog with Dan.  The dogs play with each other in a safe, structured, fully supervised environment.  Has your dog been kicked out of other daycares because they can't handle him?  Try him here!  Baths and nails available upon request.  A Trial overnight may be necessary for first time boarders.  Baths $15-30; nails $5(most dogs)HOURS: Drop-off/Pick up times: Sunday/Monday/Friday 830-11am and 500-630pm.  Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 730am-11am and 500-630pm.  Saturday, 830-11am ONLY, Closed Saturday PM.

Tia's Tiny Dog Boarding: Separate from those bouncy, overly playful large dogs.  Tia will love your little tyke, take them for a few walks, and they will live with the family.  It's a happy place!  Drop off and pick up times are the same as listed above.

*Billing: If you drop off your dog after 5PM or pick it up before 11AM, there is no charge for that day.  One day charge minimum applies.
